ONLY important announcements will be made from here when needed. It is the "VATSIM Europe Region" NOTAM (announcements only) mail list which includes the three Divisions of our Region : Europe, UK and Russian Federation. VATSIM-UK New Director ========================== We would like to welcome Michael Sparkes as the new VATSIM-UK Division Director. We would like to thank Dan Harris the outgoing Director for all his hard work with VATSIM-UK and to wish him the best for his future ventures. Michael has been involved with VATSIM-UK (and before SATUK) for quite some time and we are certain will make a fantastic VATSIM-UK Director. 2. Events & VA Coordinator ========================== Andre Koehsel VAT-EUR8 ups1104@web.de is our new long awaited Division staff member in charge of Events and Virtual Airlines coordination. Although he is an EUR Division staff he will also coordinate his tasks with other equivalent staff of the other two Divisions for Regional level coordination. Andre would like to invite all vACC Events Directors and VA administration staff to join some communication means he have established. Please contact him privatelly if you are interested by also reporting him your (virtual) duties in the request email. 3. New Supervisors ================== Recently there was a list of some 29 names put forward to VATSIM Board of Governors by VAT-EUR Regionall staff for supervisor upgrade. Sadly the BoG saw fit not to approve some. However we did get 19 people through. Please join us in welcoming these new Supervisors as listed below and help us "ease" them into their new responsibilities. Another list WILL be submitted in approximately 3 months. RVSM procedures =================== RVSM is now implemented in ALL VATSIM-UK and VATSIM-EUR division ACCs and vACCs. In the VATSIM-RUS Division there is "Transition" vACCs. Please ensure you make use of this and read the relevant webpage in EUR Division Training Department http://vatsim-eur.org/training or VATSIM-UK Division website. Do not forget that aircraft equiped for RVSM MUST insert a "W" suffix (instead of "F") in the SquawkBox Flight Plan submitted. 5. ATC Restrictive Ratings =========================== We would like to remind you that a Restrictive Rating is in force in VATSIM Europe Region aside from the local (vACC) restrictions. For VATSIM-UK PLEASE refer to their website for full details. For "VATSIM Europe Region" the GENERIC rule is NO STUDENT rated (ATC) member may connect as _CTR or _FSS. However you may find that since we have given the vACCs somewhat of a free hand to customise it to the best effect for their vACC that it may be different. PLEASE ENSURE You check with your vACC Director or vACC website to ensure you are in compliance with these new RR. Anyone found not to, be will be asked to vacate their position. Refusal will result in being removed by senior staff members. 6. EGFT Event ============= EUR Division Training Department is working hard to setup the European Grand Flight Tour event webpages this period. http://vatsim-eur.org/training Soon it will be over and ready to be brought to effect. With the invaluable help of our Training staff and the future help of the Events staff the event will become reality soon. 7. DCRMs & RCRP =============== Following the VATSIM regulations rquirements our Region got the following members on board to process Disciplinary procedures. For those who don't know: DCRM = Divisional Conflict Resolution Manager. RCRP = Regional Conflict Resolution Panel.
